Teamwork, Teamwork, Teamwork. Go Team Go!

I'm done with pens and anime guys :-). Now we're working on a team project. The three of us all had "stationery" as our category. Veera and I had done pens, while Suzanne had done note cards previously. We wanted something different.

After much brainstorming, we decided on wrapping paper. Not just any ol' wrapping, but very high-end, exclusive, expensive wrapping papers.
The project is to create a kiosk space 10'-0" x 10'-0" with a 12'-0" ceiling. our shop will be in or near a Neiman Marcus store. Neiman Marcus will not build a store unless the median income of the market is at least $600,000. Our customers would come from the $600K + category.

Our papers are mostly handmade from around the world. We're branding it "Paper Exotica ...wrapping your world in beauty".
So far, we've collected inspirational materials like fancy papers and 3Form plastics that have natural materials laminated inside.
Today, we nailed down our name, tagline, and our specific client demographic. After the group crit, we decided that we will also include a gift wrapping service, because people who spend $5.00 to $25.00 for a single sheet of wrapping paper are not likely to wrap a package themselves.

Next, we sketched the plan to scale (1" - 1'-0"). Adding the gift wrapping service was a major consideration for the space, and is now our centerpiece with the paper racks being the walls that enclose the space.

Our team seems to be in sync, so it's fun and doesn't feel like work. It's also wonderful to bounce ideas off each other and energize each other.

  1. Well Rose, we tried hard and did a wonderful kiosk, too bad it wasn't better appreciated. However, I'm beginning to like our new idea. It shows more creativity, thanks to you! I'm looking forward to the finished product.

  2. Glad you're enjoying the group - and it's definitely a nice break from our products. :) I think Paper Exotica is cool product idea - it will definitely be interesting to see what type of display you come up with!
